The Ona Speedway is set for one of it’s fan favorite events of the season, Trick or Treat Night on Saturday, October 7th. The event is headlined by the region’s most exciting trick or treat as during intermission all the race cars will be brought on the frontstretch and fans will be allowed out on track for trick or treat with the drivers. There will also be a Halloween Costume Contest where the top 3 in kids and top 3 in adults will receive trophies.
In addition to all of the fall activities, there will be a full 7 division racing program with All Seasons Powersports Late Models, Patriot Meat Processing Modifieds, Haunted Majestic Street Stocks, Contempo Trophy & Awards UCAR’s, Mays Tire & Service Center INEX Legends Car Pro, Jeffrey Trucking INEX Legends Car Semi-Pro, and Gumbo Stop Cafe Crazy Compacts.
The event is always a favorite among fans, drivers, and speedway officials. For fans, it’s an excellent way to have a fun night with their kids making memories they won’t forget with being able to trick or treat on the race track. It’s also a great opportunity for fans to get to meet the drivers they have watched compete all season long. Drivers always go all out to make this event special for the fans.
With the points part of the season over with, this night creates an opportunity for drivers to race for fun without the pressure of the points. For drivers that haven’t visited victory lane yet this season, it’s another late season opportunity to try to score a trip to victory lane. With the way the event falls on this years schedule, it also creates an opportunity for drivers to get one last tune-up in before the biggest race of the season on Saturday, October 28th with the Yes Chevrolet/Yes Ford Mountaineer 100. With many tracks closed for the season and the Mountaineer 100 on the horizon, this event occasionally sees drivers travel from out of town just to get race laps in before Ona’s most prestigious race.
It is sure to be an excellent night of racing and family fun once again. General admission is only $15 for ages 13 and up while kids 12 and under are free. All access pit passes are $35 for ages 13 and up and free for ages 12 and under. Racing will start earlier as he head into the fall with racing at 6:00 pm.

Due to cooler temperatures forecasted for Saturday, Ona Speedway officials have made the decision to move everything up by one hour. Pit gates will now open at noon with practice starting at 1 pm, general admission gates opening at 4 pm, and racing at 5 pm.
