The Alchemy Theatre community group offers a series of plays and acting classes at their facility, the Geneva Kent Center for the Arts (68 Holley Ave.). They are about to launch a new production “Making God Laugh” written by Sean Grennan. Directed by Mary Williams, this play will open to the public on October 6 with performances running until October 15.
“Making God Laugh is a family comedy that takes place in four scenes, each ten years apart, set at various holidays. Starting in 1980, and over the course of thirty years’ worth of celebrations – Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Years Eve and Easter – we see how, despite what we may have in mind, we often arrive at unexpected destinations.”
