The 7th Annual Funktafest funky groove flavored music festival brought out a joyful crowd on Saturday, September 16 to the Ritter Park Amphitheater.
Eric Wilson hosted along with Makaylah Wheeler from WMUL, the Marshall University radio station.
Celebrity singer Holly Forbes had a busy day joining in on many performances and putting the fun in funk.
Parry Casto (Funkle Sam) brought the funk back to Huntington for the 7th Funktafest, along with the help of Eye-Guy and hard working volunteers.
Aside from the main stage there was a ton to see and do. Yoga classes were held in the later half of the day so participants could channel their funk and spiritual center.
A silent disco was featured with multiple DJ options.
Activities were setup for children to have fun and play.
Phire Family showed off their skills during the day and broke out fire demonstrations after dark.

Funktafest After Party at The Loud
The funk couldn’t be stopped and continued at The Loud with the Funktafest Aftery Party. DJ Thomas Cox was set up on the patio, but rain called for a pack up around midnight. The show did go on inside featuring The Settlement, Chalk Dinosaur, and Randy (the hit machine) all the way up to 3:00am. (we apologize to Randy, the photographer ran out of funk by 1:30am)
