On Wednesday 8-30-23, the band Massing closed out the Mountain Health Arena’s Party on the Plaza schedule for the year. Massing shared the stage with James Harless who performed as his solo project but is also known for his rock band Friendly Fire. This event was included as part of the Huntington Music & Arts Festival week.
The performances and crowd were energetic in front of the Mountain Health Arena. Massing charmed the audience with sick guitar riffs and powerful singing. Some folks also partook in the new PODA social district “safe zone” program in downtown Huntington which allows alcoholic beverages outdoors in specifically marked containers sold at approved downtown bars. The rock show further ramped up when Heath and Rob of Massing started calling out birthdays to invoke a dance off for band merch and shirts.
Vendors Bashful Bee Press and Kaylea Inkantation were set up at the event, enjoying the nice weather and turnout.
