Huntington, W.Va. (Huntington News Net) – The 2024 West Virginia U.S. Senate race is heating up as U.S. Sen. Rand Paul (R-KY) stumps for U.S. Rep. Alex Mooney in Guyandotte on Jul. 7, 2023. Voters and local and state-wide elected officials packed into the VFH hall ready to show their support for West Virginia’s incumbent Congressman from the Second District. Congressman Mooney will contend with W.Va. Governor Jim Justice for the U.S. Senate seat currently filled by U.S. Sen. Joe Manchin.
Senator Rand Paul pressed his desire to see Congressman Mooney defeat Gov. Jim Justice in the
2024 primary and defeat Joe Manchin in the General Election.
Mooney stated “we were greeted by lots of supporters who are ready to elect an America First Senator in 2024. As the only conservative in this race, I will always fight for the people of this great country and represent West Virginia conservative values.”
