The West Virginia state wrestling tournament is officially underway with a total of 224 matches taking place March 2nd at Mountain Health Arena. The tournament will run through Saturday March 4th, eventually narrowing the competition down to twenty eight matches which will decide who goes home with the 2023 state wrestling championship.
“All season has gone well,” says Cardinals coach Anthony Regalbuto, “This might be the best shot we’ve had to win it.”
Tickets for the tournament can still be purchased at the box office for $45, $35 for students.
Friday’s part of the tournament starts at 11:30 am, while Saturday’s starts at 10:30 am.
