A c. 1957 Huntington, West Virginia, 8mm home movie of a large military and marching band parade starting on 4th Ave. See Dickinson Brothers Furniture, Capitol Fuel Co., One Hour Martinizing, Esso Gas Station, Big Boy Restaurant, beauty and talent queens, splendid convertible cars of the 1950s including 1954-1955 Cadillacs, a 1957 Ford Skyliner with Retractable Roof, a 1956 Studebaker, a 1957 Chevrolet, a 1957 Plymouth (?), marching units of the Air Force, Army and the Marines, an M53 SPH Self-Propelled Assault Gun, Jeeps, trucks, etc., and even the “Blue Velvet Baton Girls.”
The photographer’s camera was not quite in focus. However, a color film like this is rare.
