“Huntington always has held a special place in my heart. My late mother was a docent at the Huntington Museum of Art, and there is no place more fitting for my homecoming concert,” said Ed Bazel. “Huntington is where I first learned to play the piano as a young boy. My first piano teachers here were Genevieve Darden and Harriett Tucker. They influenced my passion for the piano, which sent me on a professional journey that took me many places. On May 6, I look forward to re-connecting with this special place, sharing memories and introducing audiences to my latest music that I’m really excited about!”

Bazel’s instrumental compositions are described as “romantic, melodic, thoughtful and sometimes haunting.”
