With just under 100 days to go before the Mountaineers kick off their 2025 football season, fans are already gearing up for game day at Milan Puskar Stadium. Under the leadership of returning head coach Rich Rodriguez, West Virginia University is set to begin its campaign on August 30 against Robert Morris.
Season tickets are officially on sale, and ESPN recently shared the lowest available ticket prices for each home game using Vivid Seats data. While a couple of games come with higher price tags, most are fairly affordable — giving fans plenty of options to cheer on WVU without breaking the bank.
Here’s a breakdown of WVU’s six home games for the 2025 season, from the least to most expensive:
Robert Morris – $55
WVU’s home opener is also its most budget-friendly matchup. Tickets start at just $55 — a reasonable price for fans looking to watch Rodriguez’s new-look team take the field for the first time this season.
Robert Morris is an FCS opponent, and while they finished 7-5 last season, they’re not expected to put up too much of a fight. These matchups often serve as warm-ups before the tougher Big 12 schedule begins, which explains the lower price.
Texas Tech – $70
Closing out the season is a home game against Texas Tech, and it comes in as the second-cheapest at $70.
That might surprise some fans. Texas Tech is a potential sleeper team this year, especially after a strong performance in the transfer portal — landing 21 new players, according to 247Sports. They even cracked ESPN’s Way-Too-Early Top 25 at No. 16.
Despite the talent on the Red Raiders roster, ticket prices remain low, offering fans an affordable chance to catch a strong Big 12 showdown to end the season.
Utah – $82
On September 27, WVU hosts Utah in what will be the team’s first Big 12 home game of the year. Tickets start at $82, likely boosted by the excitement around conference play and cooler fall temperatures.
Utah didn’t have a stellar 2024 and is still finding its footing, but this game has the potential to be a close, hard-fought matchup between two programs looking to rise above the middle of the conference standings.
TCU – $98
WVU fans will get a visit from TCU, a team that’s been up and down but always competitive. Under Sonny Dykes, the Horned Frogs made a National Championship appearance not long ago and remain a tough opponent.
Although TCU had a rough 2024, history favors WVU in this matchup — winning six of the last eight games between the two teams. Tickets are going for $98, reflecting both the rivalry and potential for another high-stakes game.
