Lori Vallow Daybell, known as the “Doomsday Mom,” is now facing fresh murder conspiracy charges in Arizona, related to the death of her fourth husband, Charles Vallow. In July 2019, Charles was fatally shot by Lori’s brother, Alex Cox, who claimed self-defense. However, prior to this incident, Charles had reported Lori’s increasingly erratic behavior and expressed concerns over her extreme religious beliefs, which he feared were putting their family in danger.

While Lori is already serving a life sentence in Idaho for the murders of her two children and conspiring to kill Chad’s previous wife, Tammy Daybell, she was extradited to Arizona in November 2023 to face charges related to Charles’ death and the attempted murder of Brandon Boudreaux, Lori’s niece’s ex-husband. Lori’s trial, where she is representing herself, began with jury selection in March 2025.
