The Big 12 Conference has officially announced the opponent matrix for the 2025-26 men’s basketball season, and West Virginia fans now know who the Mountaineers will face on their journey through the always-competitive conference slate.
Each Big 12 team will play 18 conference games — including three home-and-home matchups and 12 single-play games (six at home, six on the road).
For West Virginia, the three home-and-home opponents will be UCF, Cincinnati, and Kansas State. That means Mountaineer fans can expect some high-energy rematches both in Morgantown and on the road.
WVU’s six home-only games will be against Baylor, BYU, Colorado, Kansas, Texas Tech, and Utah — a strong lineup that includes the defending national champion Jayhawks and several rising programs in the conference.
On the road, West Virginia will face Arizona, Arizona State, Houston, Iowa State, Oklahoma State, and TCU. These games will certainly challenge the Mountaineers, especially with long travel distances and tough home environments in the mix.
While the full dates and times for the Big 12 games have not yet been released, this scheduling matrix gives fans a first look at the conference matchups and rivalries to watch this season.
For those looking to catch the action in person, season ticket renewals and new ticket sales are now available online. The school has introduced reduced pricing to help bring fans into the Coliseum — with a 25% price decrease in select areas and no MAC (Mountaineer Athletic Club) per-seat contributions required for 45% of the upper-level seating.
It’s shaping up to be a thrilling season in the Big 12, and West Virginia will have no shortage of must-watch matchups on its schedule. Whether it’s welcoming Kansas to the Coliseum or making the trek to Houston or Tucson, the Mountaineers are set to face a variety of talent and styles.
Stay tuned for the official release of the full Big 12 schedule later this year.
