Buckhannon, West Virginia Plant Closure
In the United States, Novelis decided to close its Buckhannon, West Virginia plant, affecting approximately 80 employees. The closure was scheduled to take effect on June 13, 2024. The Buckhannon facility, built in 1999, primarily served the electrical conductor industry and other light-gauge applications.
Fairmont, West Virginia Plant Shutdown

UK Operations Affected
In the United Kingdom, Novelis planned to close its foil rolling mill in Bridgnorth by the end of April 2011. This decision affected 319 employees and was part of the company’s strategy to consolidate European foil and packaging operations in response to market overcapacity and increased competition.
