Thursday Highlights

Start your Thursday with a dose of art and culture at the Blennerhassett Hotel and Spa for the “West Virginia Mountains Adventure.” You can also stop by WesBanco on Market Street between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. to enjoy Joyce Boone’s watercolor and alcohol ink display.

For those who enjoy literature, head to Civitan Park in Belpre for the Stories and Steps Audio Book Club from 10–11 a.m.

The Belpre Public Library has two special Homeschool Hangout sessions — one for children under 12 from 2 to 3 p.m., and another for teens 12 and older from 3 to 4 p.m. Williamstown Public Library will host a Teen Game Day for grades 4-8 from 3:30 to 5 p.m.

Cooking fans won’t want to miss the Copycat Salads We All Love class at The Cook’s Shop in Marietta from 5:30 to 8 p.m. Or, learn a new skill with Ann Siegfried at her open sewing session from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at BB2C Makerspace.

For those intrigued by folklore, a Bigfoot discussion led by expert Les O’Dell will be held at 6 p.m. at the Emerson Avenue Public Library.

Friday Fun

Friday continues the art celebration with Joyce Boone’s display from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Toddlers can enjoy Toddler Time at the Marietta Library from 10 to 11 a.m.

History buffs should attend the celebration of Lafayette’s 200th anniversary visit to Marietta, including a Narrated Sightseeing Tour on the Valley Gem Sternwheeler from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.

A Memorial Service for Revolutionary War Patriots will be held at 2 p.m. in Vienna, followed by Mound Cemetery Graveside Programs at 3 p.m.

The public libraries in Barlow and Emerson will offer Gaming Hour for kids and Adult Game Night respectively, while Belpre Library hosts Are You Smarter Than the Librarians? for youth at 6 p.m.

Cap off your evening with one of the themed Valley Gem Dinner Cruises or dance the night away at the Lafayette Ball at The Vault in Marietta.

Saturday’s Packed Schedule

Saturday begins with a Mindful Morning for adults at 9 a.m. in Belpre.

Auto lovers can check out the Engines and Wheels Festival at North Bend State Park. Meanwhile, historic charm awaits at the Marietta Tour of Homes from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Book lovers can join the Something to Talk About Book Club in Belpre or an Adult Book Discussion in Barlow.

Creative minds will enjoy Junior Sewing with Ann Siegfried, Wood Art at the Marietta Library, and a Dried Flower Bookmark Craft in Belpre.

A Memorial Day Veterans Walk of Honor starts at noon at the Armory, followed by a Dance for Parkinson’s session at the Parkersburg YMCA.

Get a little mystical with Psychic Portraits with Angela Boley from 2–7:30 p.m. at The Anchorage in Marietta.
