Magnolia’s Kingston Christen Named to Class A All-State First Team

The 2025 Class A All-State Boys Basketball Team has been announced, and Magnolia’s Kingston Christen has earned a well-deserved spot on the First Team. Christen’s outstanding junior season helped lead Coach Dave Tallman Sr.’s squad back to Charleston, with an impressive 21.5 points per game average.

Tug Valley’s Braydun Ferris Named Captain

Leading the First Team selections is Tug Valley’s Braydun Ferris, who was named Captain after another dominant season. Ferris, a junior guard, was also recognized as the Class A State Tournament MVP, averaging 19 points, six assists, and two steals per game throughout the season. His performance in the state tournament was even more impressive, averaging 24.3 points on 29-46 shooting while hitting five three-pointers.

Tug Valley’s back-to-back championship run also earned Kaden Hale and Ashton Davis spots on the First Team. Hale, a senior, was the team’s top three-point shooter with a 42% accuracy rate, while Davis, a versatile four-year starter, contributed 10 points and five rebounds per game.
