WHEELING, W.Va. — All 66 Little Caesars locations in West Virginia are coming together to support law enforcement by participating in a statewide police K-9 fundraiser.
Customers can contribute by adding a donation to their order or making a direct contribution at any location. The campaign aims to raise $30,000 to provide essential supplies for over 200 K-9 police handlers in West Virginia and neighboring departments in Ohio. Fundraising thermometers at each location will track progress toward the goal.
“I think it shows our support and involvement in our communities,” said Dana Hammond, Little Caesars District Manager. “We are more than just pizza; we are giving back to local areas.”
K-9 units play a vital role in law enforcement, working tirelessly alongside their handlers. Ohio County Chief Deputy Kent Lewis emphasized the importance of community support for these teams.
“You have to remember these K-9s are on duty 24/7 with their handler. They don’t just go somewhere else at the end of the day; they go home with their handler,” Lewis explained. “These handlers dedicate their hearts and souls to these dogs. Any support from the community to help make their jobs and the dogs’ lives easier is a tremendous help.”
The fundraiser highlights the commitment of Little Caesars to giving back to local communities while ensuring K-9 officers receive the resources they need to continue their critical work.
