MINERAL WELLS, WV — Jeep lovers, start your engines! The Ohio Valley Jeep Club (OVJC) is rolling into action with a full-throttle public event on Saturday, May 31 at the West Virginia Interstate Fairgrounds in Mineral Wells. Known as “Jeep Jam,” this all-day event promises excitement for all ages and all types of Jeep enthusiasts.
With gates opening at 10 a.m., the event is expected to be one of the largest Jeep gatherings the region has ever seen. Whether you’re a seasoned off-roader or a first-time Jeep owner, there’s something for everyone.
“We’ve lined up over 25 vendors and food trucks so there’s a wide variety for Jeepers to explore,” said Missy Plumly, OVJC Event Coordinator. “It’s not just about the Jeeps—it’s a full community celebration.”

Show Off Your Ride
At 11 a.m., Jeep Jam will kick into high gear with the “Sparkle and Shine” Jeep Show. Open to all Jeeps on site, the first 100 participants will receive a custom dash plaque. Trophies will be awarded later in the day for standout entries, and it’s a perfect opportunity to get inspired by creative Jeep mods.
“This is a chance for Jeepers to show off their builds,” Plumly said. “It always sparks new ideas.”

Learn and Play in the Jeep Playground
At noon, OVJC leaders will host a Jeep Safety and Recovery presentation—ideal for new and experienced drivers alike. Topics include trail safety and winch use, followed by a “Jeep Playground” where drivers can test their rigs on various obstacles, from ramps to pits.
The fun continues with the Ramp Travel Index (RTI) challenge to test a Jeep’s flex, and balance boards that push driving skills to the limit. There will even be activities in the demolition derby area, adding another level of adventure.
Junior Jeepers Welcome
Jeep Jam isn’t just for adults. A dedicated Junior Jeepers area will keep kids engaged with interactive games and activities designed just for them.
“We want to share our love of Jeeps with the next generation,” said OVJC President Brad Hackney. “It’s about fun for the whole family.”

Tickets, Prizes, and a Big Giveaway
Admission is $20 per Jeep, which includes access to all Jeep-related activities (food sold separately). Each Jeep will receive a raffle ticket for a chance to win a $13,000 Rough Country Winch, and door prizes will be handed out all day long. The first 40 Jeeps through the gate will also get exclusive gift bags.
What’s even better? Half of every entry fee will go directly to support the West Virginia Interstate Fairgrounds, helping the OVJC give back to the local community.
“As a nonprofit, we’re proud to support causes like local food banks, veteran groups, and youth programs,” Hackney added.
