Mark your calendars — the Cottrill Family Reunion is happening on Sunday, June 15 at 1 p.m. in Harrisville, West Virginia. This cherished annual event will take place at the Woman’s Club, located at 121 West Main Street.
All descendants of Columbus Cottrill (1852–1942) and Martha Cottrill (1851–1934) are warmly invited to attend. The tradition, which began back on Father’s Day in 1965, continues to honor the strong family ties that have connected generations of Cottrills for decades.
The afternoon kicks off with a covered dish dinner, followed by the annual family meeting. Attendees can look forward to a few fun traditions:
- Prizes will be awarded to the oldest, youngest, and the person who traveled the farthest.
- A door prize drawing will add an extra layer of excitement to the day.
- Family photos will be taken for each branch, including the Lawney Cottrill, Henry Cottrill, Morris Cottrill, Mary Samples, Emery Cottrill, Christopher Cottrill, and Harley Cottrill families.
Whether you’re reconnecting with relatives, meeting new branches of the family, or simply enjoying some homemade favorites around the dinner table, the Cottrill Family Reunion promises laughter, memories, and a deep sense of togetherness.
All Cottrill descendants are encouraged to come celebrate the family’s rich legacy and share in a day filled with love, food, and fun.
