The city of Huntington saw thirteen citizens announcing their run for City Council. We expect more to file in the coming weeks.
The District border lines were adjusted for this election, redistributing the vote.
Of Huntington’s nine districts, District Three has four separate candidates vying for the office. Tia “Fix” Rumbaugh and Jeffery McKay are representing the Democratic Party, and James P. Hoffstead and Joshua M. Garnes represent the Republican Party. Tia “Fix” Rumbaugh is the current Councilmember representing District 3.
District 1 and the two at large seats are also contested races.
Sasha Chapman (D) and Jason Arthur (R) compete for the District 1 seat.
Drew Ciccarelli, Ally Layman, and Duron Jackson vie for the two At Large seats, which represent all of Huntington.
