FOLEY, Ala. – The Marshall University Volleyball team (13-19) fell to the Texas State Bobcats (20-8) in three sets (25-13, 25-14, 25-11) in the quarterfinals of the 2023 Sun Belt Conference Tournament on Friday. The loss ended the Herd’s season.

“The end of season is never something I’ll get used to, but this season will go down in history as one that has had the most impact on me both personally and professionally,” Herd volleyball head coach Ari Aganus said after the match. “These young women and my amazing staff have been through unimaginable lows while remaining classy and representing our university with so much grit and integrity. I am so proud to be their coach and so proud of the fight until the very end.”

Brynn Brown and Lydia Montague each finished with six kills, as Brown also had 11 digs and nine assists in the contest.
