For over 70 years, the Saint George Greek Orthodox Church has provided a welcoming place for those wishing to practice Orthodox Christianity in the Tri-State area. On Friday and Saturday, September 15 & 16, St. George will host their beloved open community festival event, the 41st annual Greek Fest.

“Experience the culture and ancestry of Greece and our Orthodox Christian faith! We welcome you to connect with our heritage and traditions that are centuries old, but still contemporary in their focus. Our Church tours will inspire you and educate you, the food and drink will fill you with joy, and the hospitality will make you feel right at home. Stop by the shops, enjoy the music and dancing, and enjoy the wonderful Greek pastries!”

This festival is 11am – 8pm at St. George: 701 11th Ave, Huntington, WV 25701

Greek Dancers: 9/15 Friday @ 6pm. 9/16 Saturday @ 1pm and 6pm

Church Tours: 9/15 Friday @ 12pm and 4pm. 9/16 Saturday @ 12pm and 7pm

They still need to release the official 2023 Greek Fest menu but a quick glance at last year’s delivers three full pages of delicious options. The Church Grounds had pizza, meatballs, salads, and gyro sandwiches. The pastry menu offered many kinds of cookies as well as different styles of layered phyllo treats such as baklava and kataifi sold by the half dozen or there’s a variety box option. The Social Hall Menu had luxurious options like the Lamb Dinner and Moussaka as well as lighter plates like hummus, pita, spanakopita, and dolmades.
