The Huntington Museum of Art offers a variety of art classes and workshops for children, teens, and adults in the studio-classrooms located around a small courtyard behind the museum. Registration is now open for multi-session classes that will meet for a few weeks this spring. There are also ‘Open Studio’ drop-in work sessions for $10 without registration required that make special equipment like pottery wheels available to independent artists.

Classes offered this spring will include hand and wheel ceramics, Cabell Wayne Association of the Blind ceramics, watercolor painting, oil painting, drawing, digital and film photography with darkroom access, and screen printing. The course fees will vary depending on total number of sessions and museum Members will have a discount but the price range is generally between $85 and $300. Depending on the class, some materials and equipment will be provided. For ceramics, “Students will complete their work utilizing the electric kilns. The class price includes the first 25 lbs. of clay. Additional clay is $10 per 25-pound bag.”

KidsArt with Miss Kaitlin and Mrs. Charity is FREE to attend every Saturday from 1-3pm thanks to sponsorship from Hoops Family Children’s Hospital. This is a fun-filled program for children grades K-5 that encourages experimentation and enrichment.
