ONA, WV-America’s premier compact touring series, the Vores Compact Touring Series will invade Ona this Saturday, August 19th for the 3rd Annual Bryce Keyser Fly By 40 presented by Freedom Used Autos. The series will have two big races on the card Saturday with the D&J Sales B4 Mini-Series 20 lapper and then the big 40 lap main event.
The Vores Compact Touring Series competes at some of America’s best short tracks. This season, the tour competes at tracks such as Anderson Speedway, Winchester Speedway, Nashville Fairgrounds Speedway, Flat Rock Speedway, and the Milwaukee Mile. The series, which has all races broadcasted on Racing America and some races on MAVTV, has become known as one of the best series in all of short track racing. In the series previous two trips to Ona, it has averaged 37 entries.
In addition to all of the exciting action with the Vores Series, the All Seasons Powersports Late Models, Patriot Meat Processing Modifieds, Haunted Majestic Street Stocks, Mays Tire & Service Center INEX Legends Car Pro, Jeffrey Trucking INEX Legends Car Semi-Pro, and Gumbo Stop Cafe Crazy Compacts will all be in action for features only. Each of the Ona classes are expected to have some intense racing as the chase for the season points championship starts to wind down.
Racing will start at 6:30 pm on Saturday with general admission gates opening at 5:00 pm. General admission is only $15 for ages 13 and up and free for ages 12 and under. All access pit passes are $35 for ages 13 and up and free for ages 12 and under.
The track will also host Freedom Used Autos Practice Night on Friday, August 18th. Open practice will run from 4:00 pm until dark. The cars will be brought into the speedway with the Vores Hauler Parade that will take off at the Huntington Mall at 3:30 pm.
