Keller Hits Hole-in-One at Minibel
Sam Keller recently made headlines at Minibel Golf Course by recording a hole-in-one on hole No. 9. Using a 9-iron, Keller’s perfect shot was witnessed by Deb Keller. Congratulations to Sam for this impressive achievement!
Submit Your Prep Baseball and Softball Stats
High school baseball and softball coaches in the Mid-Ohio Valley are encouraged to submit their teams’ cumulative season stats and records by 3 p.m. each Monday. These updates will be used to compile weekly leaderboards for the region, helping to spotlight the standout players and teams.
WVU Baseball Camp at The Dugout
The West Virginia University Baseball Camp is coming to Parkersburg this summer. Scheduled for July 24, the camp will be held at The Dugout from 4-7 p.m. and is designed for kids ages 5-12. It’s a great opportunity for young athletes to learn from experienced coaches and improve their game.
Williamstown Offensive Skills Basketball Camp
The 35th annual Offensive Skills Basketball Camp is set to take place at Williamstown High School from Monday, June 23 to Friday, June 27. The camp features a split schedule: grades K-5 will attend from 8 a.m. to noon, and grades 6-9 from 1-5 p.m.
The camp is staffed by experienced coaches and all-state players, offering a dynamic environment to boost basketball fundamentals. The cost is $100 per camper.
38th Annual Ohio River Basketball Camp
Ravenswood High School will host the 38th annual Ohio River Basketball Camp from June 9-12. Open to boys and girls entering grades 3-8, the camp will run daily from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
Campers can expect games, competitions, guest speakers, and personalized coaching from 36 counselors and 10 experienced coaches. Participants will also receive a T-shirt, camp certificate, and a basketball.
Arc of the MOV Golf Scramble Rescheduled
The Arc of the Mid-Ohio Valley Golf Scramble has been rescheduled to Saturday, June 21 at Woodridge Plantation Golf Course. Registration begins at 9 a.m. with a shotgun start at 10. The event is a four-person mixed scramble, limited to the first 20 teams.
Individuals are also welcome and will be grouped with a team. Entry is $100 per person and includes green fees, cart rental, lunch, and an awards reception. Hole sponsorships are available for $175.
MOVTA Power Point Tennis Event
The Mid-Ohio Valley Tennis Association (MOVTA) will host its next Power Point Tennis “Sign Off Sunday” on May 18 from 2-4 p.m. at the City Park tennis courts. Players should bring their skill cards to be signed off by adult supervisors.
New cards will also be available. Accumulated points from mastered skills can be redeemed for clinics, private lessons, and items in the pro shop at Greenmont Racquet Club.
